NAWEA hosts an annual conference and symposium that invites speakers from academia, industry, government, and research laboratories to discuss topics relevant to wind energy. Presentations and agendas are available for past events.
The NAWEA/WindTech 2022 Conference was held in person at the University of Delaware Sept. 20–22, 2022. The theme of the 2022 conference centered on a future where high levels of wind energy deployment meet the needs of a grid dominated by renewables. The conference featured the latest research to integrate wind with solar, storage, and other renewables into the complex and highly interdependent energy system of the future. NAWEA partnered with the Energy Systems Integration Group to create a meaningful exchange and educational opportunity.
As with the 2019 conference, there was special emphasis on the social and environmental aspects of wind energy development. Topics included grid integration, social/environmental aspects of wind energy, offshore wind energy, wind turbines and wind plants, and atmospheric/ocean science for wind energy.
